James eshot image.jpgAs an introduction to the team here at Primmer Olds B.A.S we plan to tell you about our team members within our news feed.

The first person we would like to introduce is our resident RIBA Chartered Architect, James Fewtrell. We interviewed James to find out a little more.

Interviewer: ‘James, what is your professional background?’

James: ‘Well, historically I’ve worked for Design Engine Architects in Winchester, Fluid Office in London and Broadway Malyan in Southampton. I’ve worked on a variety of projects within a number of sectors from residential extensions, a new secondary school and sports hall in Guernsey through to large commercial masterplans but most recently complete a prestigious new building and refurbishment project for St Peter’s College, Oxford.’

Interviewer: ‘What about your role at Primmer Olds B.A.S?’

James: ‘Here, I work on a hugely diverse range of projects including private house extensions in Southampton, Bishops Waltham and Winchester, education projects for local schools and large scale office refurbishment projects for blue chip clients. Essentially, I can offer consultant advice relating to feasibility, planning permissions and building control processes through to the technical and contractual requirements of the construction process.’

Interviewer: ‘Apart from your work James, what else do you enjoy?’

James: ‘In no particular order I love a curry and a beer, I’m undertaking a lot of work at home on a renovation project so enjoy DIY at present and I enjoy spending time with my family. I love watching football and used to play a lot but more recently have focussed on playing golf. I’ve found a new love of gardening although I suspect this may just be an excuse to be outside’.

James can be contacted here for any further advice.
