Eastleigh Borough Council Acquire Centrally Located Offices

7th Aug 2017 | Agency

Eastleigh Borough Council have acquired 75-77 Leigh Road, Eastleigh, by way of a new occupational lease. The offices, which comprise two two storey former houses, are located in close proximity to a large site on Romsey Road that Eastleigh Borough Council are redeveloping. The proposed scheme, which has obtained planning permission, consists of predominantly residential accommodation over multiple storeys as well as incorporating offices and community use facilities for occupiers that are currently located on the site.

75/77 Leigh Road will act as temporary accommodation for one of the existing occupiers on the site who will then relocate once construction is complete.

With offices in short supply within Eastleigh The Council felt it was an excellent opportunity to acquire offices that can be used as part of wider projects for the benefit of the Borough.

Primmer Olds B.A.S acted on behalf of the Landlords to market the premises. Despite only being presented on a Leasehold basis, the campaign demonstrated the continuing appetite for freehold offices given the number of speculative enquiries.
